Gray is an approx 15 year Percheron Gelding. He stands 15.3 hands tall and is build like a tank. Would make an excellent dressage horse, fox hunter, mounted police horse, Trail Horse, or anything else you wanna do with him.
On the Trail, Gray is extremely brave and will lead the pack anywhere you’d like to go or he will ride out alone without a fuss. He crosses water, bridges, roads, and everything in between. He is happy leading, following, or riding alone. He is always brave, sturdy, and reliable! He is safe on the road and around traffic. Nothing really phases him.
Under Saddle, Gray will ride English and Western. He has three comfortable gaits and is very balanced. He has more whoa than go and will do whatever is asked of him. He will also pop over small jumps when asked and is super fun playing around in the arena with. The only vice we came across is that he likes to be ground mounted. He will step away from the mounting block.
In the barn, he is easy to work around.
He has nice stall and ground manners. Gray can be stalled or kept on turn out. He gets along in our mixed herd and has always been easy to catch for us. On the ground he has always been easy to handle and he has never been pushy with us. He is very patient and will stand nicely to be groomed, tacked, bathed, etc.
He is currently barefoot and has good feet. He has always been good for our vet and farrier.
We love this geldings personality, and demeanor. He has a great brain and aims to please. He really wants to be your friend and we can’t wait for him to find his person to bond with. Out on the trails he is simple, steady, and relaxing.
A perfect choice if you want to relax and enjoy the sights on the trails, and also have a sporty enough horse to use in the arena. We were told that he was used in parades before.
He is suppose to be broke to drive single and double but we never hitched him.
