Bliss is an approx 12 year old, Belgian mare. This big girl stands 17.1 hands tall. she’s a complete gentle giant. She’s nicely put together. Whether you’re looking for a husband horse, Family Horse, Therapy hose or something reliable to take on the trail, she’s your girl!
On the trail, Bliss is confident and slow. She’s not one that’s going to go faster than she’s asked. She’s sure footed, and reliable. She is a true gentle giant. Despite her size, she makes a wonderful guest or husband horse to go for a hack. She will happily go in Western or English tack. She’ll lead, follow, go in the water, and over logs. She’s been ridden bareback, has seen everything from dogs and bikes, to heavy machinery. She’s a solid mare and was born with a good brain. Bliss is happy to mosey along on a loose rein, however she will pick up and go when she’s asked but definitely is lazy to canter and needs some encouragement.
Under Saddle , Bliss had more whoa than go. She will nicely walk and has a super smooth trot. Bliss will canter with encouragement. She has been desensitized to tarps, flags, umbrellas, smoke, and everything else you can think of. She is absolutely not spooky.
On the ground, Bliss is well behaved and has no bad barn or stall habits. She is well behaved for the farrier and vet. Bliss is respectful to lead, groom, and turnout. She is not marish , and goes out with geldings and other mares in the pasture. She does not have a dominant personality and seems to get along with everyone. She has great ground manners and is always aware of where her person is. This girl is awesome, and would make a great husband horse, therapy horse, mounted police horse, or trail partner.
She is broke to drive but we have not hitched her.
Bliss passed her vet exam and is ready for her new home.
